Richard Wiley

Despite having worked all his life in an advertising agency in Zimbabwe, Richard has been a lifelong car buff, learning to drive with the aid of many cushions at the age of seven. In between persuading people what to buy, he has written about motoring matters since 1975, editing various magazines and writing a weekly column in a Zim business paper for over 20 years, the same length of time he has been a Full Member of the SA Guild of Motoring Journalists. Having moved to South Africa in 2008, Richard, has continued in a freelance capacity, writing for the aforementioned Zimbabwe paper as well as for Ultimate Drive, Top Gear, Porsche Road and Race and Motor magazine in addition to undertaking other writing projects. His passion for motor sport is reflected in the fact that 2019 will mark his 26th visit to the Le Mans 24 Hour race not to mention innumerable World Endurance Championship races and some 20 F1 GPs.
